Eligibility for Obtaining and Using 4D Academic Products

4D UK offers 4D Academic Standard Edition and a number of other 4th Dimension Academic Products at academic prices to qualifying institutions, staff and students within the UK.

Qualified User Definition

The 4D UK Academic Products Program provides many offerings to serve the needs of accredited educational institutions, as well as their staff and students. All tools are full-version development and database products offered at significant discounts for non-commercial use only. These software programs are specifically available for purchase by any public or private U.S. institution accredited by associations recognized by either the U.S. Department of Education or the State Board of Education or the U.S. Department of Treasury as a Not-For-Profit organisation. Additionally, these software programs are specifically available for purchase by any public or private English-speaking, Canadian Charitable organisation recognised by Revenue Canada as a Charitable organisation.The following is a list of qualifying institutions:

Educational Institutions

All accredited schools such as: K-12, vocational school, junior college, college, university, or scientific or technical institutions.

Employees of Educational Institutions

Any employee defined as full, part time or adjunct faculty and staff of an Educational Institution as named above.

Students of Educational Institutions

Any enrolled full- or part-time student of Educational Institutions as named above.

Educational Consortia and Systems

Any corporation or association, validly organised and existing under the laws of a state or territory of the United States or Canada, each member or shareholder of an accredited school as described above.

Medical Facilities Associated with Educational Institutions

Any medical facility associated with an Educational Institution, such as: College or University Medical Center or Hospital College or University Medical Research Department.

Military Education Establishments

Any approved military educational establishment.

Not-For-Profit Institutions

All federal or state/provincial recognized Not-For-Profit Institutions including as: Any public or private institution such as any community chest, fund, or foundation, organised and operated exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, testing for public safety, literary, or educational purposes.
