Goodbye ACI, Hello 4D!

15th June 2000, Wilmslow, UK. ACI UK, publishers of the award-winning 4th Dimension (4D) database development environment, announced today that they have changed their company name to 4D UK in line with the rest of the 4D Group. After 16 years as ACI, it was decided a change of name was necessary to reflect the more recognisable brand name of the popular 4D Product Line.

4D UK hopes that this name change will increase brand recognition and make it easier for existing and potential developers to find information about the product. Now, developers need only go to www.4D.com for relevant product and corporate information.

"Changing our company name to 4D is a positive corporate move for the whole 4D Group," says Rob Wylie, 4D UK’s General Manager. "It will increase brand awareness of 4D and make it much easier for potential customers to recognise who we are and find us on the Web."

The change to 4D UK will not affect either the 4D product line itself or the excellent manufacturing, distribution and support processes that 4D customers are accustomed to. All changes are considered to be in name only. The corporate name had been ACI since 1984.
