4D ODBC Driver 

Access your database from other applications via the ODBC protocol.

Thanks to the 4D ODBC driver, any application able to “speak” ODBC can access the data managed by your development.

 • Get 4D data in Excel

It then becomes easy to produce graphs and reports using your data with Crystal Report®, to provide a report to your sales department with Excel, or yet again to produce a mail shot with Word to the list of contacts managed by 4D.

Openness to the exterior

Since standard ODBC was supported from Mac OS X, these operations are in fact multiplatform.

The support of Unicode guarantees the same functioning regardless of the language or dialect used.

Security

Openness, yes, but still guaranteeing data security. The support of Users and Groups management in 4D restricts data access to authorized people only.

The support of the SLL protocol guarantees a higher level of security while protecting the data during their transfer to the client application.
