Application builder

Build, protect, deploy in total comfort!

Build and distribute

The application builder is the tool of reference for transforming your developments into professional applications that you can distribute to your clients.

Configure and customize

After configuring and saving the different settings that customize the application (application type, customer logo, destination of the generated application, etc.), you can generate the application each time a change is made in the application development.

A contextual help area continually keeps you informed about the impact any changes have on your project.

Set parameters and keep control

Multi-project architecture allows you to generate several applications in a single action using just a click of the mouse. This lets you provide a unique version of a single development to distinct customers.

Because your customers don’t all have the same needs, set parameters that you will make available or unavailable during distribution. For example, you could distribute the “word processor” for one client, but not another.

All settings of the application builder are stored in XML files, which mean that you can control the generation procedure entirely by programming.

Ready-to-use components

Within 4D v11 SQL, the new components architecture allows distributing with ease. The application builder also helps by gathering the items necessary for the components work in a single folder.

Always updated applications…

Thanks to the automatic update mechanism, you can distribute your developments as client/server without human intervention on client machines.

The benefits are felt immediately: up-to-date application and quick installation!
