4D Web Extension license provides unlimited Web serving capabilities

Single User Products

4th Dimension 2003 and 4D Server 2003 have unlimited Web accesses through the built-in Web server for a one hour period. After one hour has expired, you can quit 4D and launch your application again and you will have unlimited Web accesses, for a another one-hour period. This functionality allows developers to program and test their Web applications.

4th Dimension, 4D Engine and 4D Runtime Classic are all single-user products and can only be used to develop single-user applications. If you use any form of Internet technology, whether it is the built-in Web server or a commercial plug-in, to make these into multi-user applications, you must a purchase a "Web Extension License." One license must be purchased per installation. The 4D Web Extension License will allow unlimited Web connections to your application.

Vertical market application developers should contact 4D UK Sales at 4D UK for special licensing costs.

This license is not required if you are using a third party Internet extension such as ITK. This license is also not required if you are connecting to 4D Server through 4D Client using a commercial Internet extension.

A separate 4D Web Extension License needs to purchased for each installation. This license costs £495.
