The 4D Web Tutorials are designed for people who have no experience whatsoever with 4th Dimension. However, the tutorials will also benefit experienced 4D Developers who have yet to make the foray into Web development. It is hoped that you have some familiarity with internet standards such as HTML and HTTP, but a high level of expertise with these is not required. After completing the tutorials in this series, you should be familiar with the basics of building dynamic web sites with 4th Dimension.
Currently there are six on-line Web Tutorials. They are meant to be taken in this order:
WebEasy
The WebEasy Tutorial is supplied as a downloadable archive, with a Mac
and a Windows version. It provides a comprehensive view of the 4D Web Platform,
and shows how 4D's tight integration of technologies sets it apart from
the pack. This archive contains a PDF document that takes you through several
chapters. Also included are a sample web site and accompanying 4th Dimension
database application. Allow several hours to complete this broad tutorial.
